A few blooms after the rain.

We got some rain last night, but it was probably not nearly enough. We have been dry here. Still, we will take any we can get. We didn't get many pictures this morning because of church, but here a few blooming today.

Just Like Candy bloomed for the first time today. It took awhile to settle in, but we love it.

Candy Queen is another that was slow to settle in. We first saw this in Elizabeth Salter's garden but I don't remember it having such big fangs. It is a small flower.

Bill Norris is a wonderful yellow.

Lava Flow is looking good today.

Love All Serve All is not as tall this year as it usually is.

I wish Pumpkin Prince were taller. It barely blooms above the foliage.

I know I have posted this seedling before, but it was so lovely today, that I just had to post it again. It is Change My Heart X Jewel of Jewels.

That is a beautiful post full of gorgeous ones, Nancy. Just Like Candy and Candy Queen are both lovely. Lava Flow is so intense and pretty, and your seedling is just a stunner.

I agree with Kay-that seedling is a wowzer! Just Like Candy is a nice looker, too. Love All Serve All has a great color.

I love the color on Candy Queen, hope it does well for you. I’m guessing it will be a parent to some lovely babies.

Sherry, I am a bit worried about Candy Queen's hardiness because it is a Salter. It did fine last winter, but we had a mild winter. I wanted it to use in my quest for toothy small daylilies. It's pollen is in the house now to be used tomorrow if any others are blooming that might make a good match.

Just Like Candy is a stunner with that big lipstick rouge kiss in the middle. Are the petals supposed to be peach or white?.......Bill Norris is always popular with people as a yellow. It looks great.........Maryl

Maryl, the petals are peach and that is how it is described in the database. We were drawn to it because of the big eye.

I always like the looks of Pumpkin Prince - even if it is short. The red eyed seedling is a stunner! I'd love to see it in a clump someday.
