Sorry but why in the glass it appears you have a wall right outside the shower so put hooks there and there should a bath mat outside the shower anyway to step on .

Have you thought about a suction hook? A family member just bough a suction grab bar (!) and it can't be tugged off her glazed ceramic tile. The bar was a Moen from Depot. I googled but didn't see a Moen suction hook. Many to check out at Amazon.

the question is unclear...what glass?...where the hooks will be?..how will the door open?.....how broad is the shower spray?..

Generally speaking anything shaped like that seems like a hazard in a potential slippery shower situation...

Aesthetically speaking ...i think some sort of border element is called for where the tile meets the wall

Are you putting the hook in the shower on the glass pane next to the door? Will this replace towel bars in the bathroom?

having a towel hanging on the glass will look weird.

why can't you do a hook on the wall?

I think you should match the finish of the other hardware.

Is this a sunken tub? Won’t you need a good handhold and a step up to get out of it?

Thank you all for your responses. The glass door and panels will be installed after we decide re the robe hook. Here is a pic of the plan. The door will open toward the wall rather than into the room so the hook needs to be on the panel closer to the tub so when exiting the shower, robe/towel can be easily reached. In the end, I went with the round robe hook after finding some positive reviews on Amazon. Thanks, all!

My glass shower door swings both in and out. We open it into the shower when exiting the shower to keep the drips inside the shower. If the hook was on the wall, it would be accessible if the door was opened into the shower. Typically we hang the towel on the hook, open the door out to turn the shower on, shower, open the door into the shower and grab the towel. No need for a hook on the glass.
