No, it is not invasive, just like all the other forms of spotted deadnettle. IME, they are not even very aggressive spreaders but slowly creep to increase in size. And because of its gold coloring, this cultivar is slightly less robust than the mostly green forms.

Lamium is really a shade plant......will only tolerate early day or very light sun and the gold form will definitely crisp up if in much sun at all.

Lamiastrum galeobdelon - yellow archangel - is the one you need to look out for. That plant's a menace!!

I bought a 2-acre property in January. This spring I discovered the entire area has lamium growing in the lawn as well as in shady areas. I would definitely describe it as aggressive.

My guess is you have Lamiastrum galeobdelon, not Lamium. Lamium is not agressive.

Lamium purpureum is listed as an invasive herbaceous plant in my location.

A plant can be invasive without actually being aggressive.
