One rod - extend the rod further past the windows on each end. Add at least one more panel.

In AZ the best heat and light control is solar shades they also let you keep the view . As for the drapes you have you need twice as many panels I have no problem with grommets . Are you trying to do both windows the same . I only see one rod so just curious. Is taht a patio door on the left?

Are the windows the same size - see look below, but with straight rod.

- Drapes should be double the width of window, or they look skimpy

- The middle drapery connects the two windows and makes it feel more finished

- Adding blinds will block out more heat and light

Thank you. The windows are the same size, I do have blinds and solar Shades but it's an upstairs west-facing window and it still gets really hot in the afternoon. No patio door. Can anyone suggest a curtain fabric or a place online where I can buy them? There are also two windows on either side of the bed, the ceiling is a little lower there. Please excuse the mess...
