How could a contractor ruin a marble floor?

It’s a long story but they are willing to replace it since it was their fault. I’m interested in knowing if anyone has a floor similar to this that isn’t marble that they love.

Porcelain comes in MANY visuals and MANY slip ratings. You will need to find a Porcelain tile that is rated for show floors.

Is there a reason why you changed 'colour range' from the walls to the tiled floor?

There are many marble lookalikes in porcelain. Check your major tile brands, they should have some.

The reason I asked how they ruined the floor was to see if the floor could be restored. Indulge me in a long story, please.

And if they mucked up on the MARBLE what else did they muck up? That's where the REAL story lies.

If they pull up the floor they need to rewaterproof everything. Not just put down new tile
