This link has many pictures of porches with Haint Blue ceilings. The majority of the houses are white, and I am concerned that your home's body color may reflect on any paint you choose and alter the way it looks.

Thanks, My3dogs. I have been looking at colors with exactly the same concern in mind as you expressed. As the house is quite minty green, I'm thinking that I need something in a subtle, pale sky-blue tone to balance it out -- nothing too intense or with strong green tones. I have a vision in my mind of how I want it to look, but I just need help on how to achieve it.

We used BM Ocean Air for our porch ceiling. It’s quite subtle on our porch but you’d obviously have to see it “in real life” to determine if it would work for you.

Your house body color does present an issue to the color you choose for your ceiling. Several paint mfg's now sell their colors in peel & stick on squares so that might be an option. Also, maybe going with a color that coordinates with your house color (maybe more green tinted) and go very light, like light Savanah. https://thelandofcolor.com/product/savannah-haint-blue-light/

I have had the same issue with a 120 year old farm house that is painted blue/grey. with white trim. I have not spent much time on it yet but one day, want to paint the porch ceilings a shade of blue. In one part of the house, a section of the back porch was enclosed back in the 1960's and an indoor bathroom put in. Part of the porch is now part of the interior. The paint has begun to peel from the tongue and groove boards and there is blue paint underneath!! I am going to see if I can get a good sample to color match and see how it will look on my house.

main color is Sherwin Williams Willow Tree. The ceiling is Hazel and the floor and column posts are Pewter Tankard. Also the white is eider White.

I painted my screened porch ceiling SW Vast Sky. The body of the porch is grey and the area is very shady. The Vast Sky really brightened the space up. I think you need to pick the blue based on the color of the porch walls and the amount of light that you get.

Thanks again to all. Special thanks to zookeeper93 for the mock-ups and color suggestions of purplish blues! I showed the mock-ups to my handyman, who immediately ruled out the Surrender as too intense and asked me to choose between the other two. I wound up going with the Prairie Sky color, which my handyman got SW to match. He just painted it, and I love it!

These are pictures I took this evening, with the furniture back and painting materials cleared away. (Yes, it is the same color in all of the pictures, despite the fact that it seems to look purpler in some pictures than in others. In reality, it's got just the right amount of purple tone to play well with the green house and just the right amount of blue tone to be recognizable as a "haint blue".)

Pretty! It will look different at different times of the year too. Mine looks bluer in the winter.

I would be concern how the colors would reflect against each other. I understand you want blue would you consider a wash out version of your house paint? Perhaps 25 or 50 % color

@Elaine Ricci Oh I am so glad you found the perfect haint blue for your porch!!! It looks beautiful. You're right. It is just enough purple to compliment the green and still be blue!! Love it.
