Chimera Bloom Stalks Through the Mail

A friend on here sent me a single bloom stalk last year of a plant called Psychedelic Show and I forgot to post photos of the plants when they first bloomed. I got two chimeras off of that bloom stalk and both bloomed true. Thank you so much, Irena! I really love this one. Here's a new flower just opening today. I love collecting and propagating chimeric AV's. I want to encourage others to try!

Very interesting bloom! If this post hadn't been from someone I trust to be reliable source such as yourself, I would have doubted the photos authenticity.

On a whim I logged into this VERY OLD account to see if I still could or not. These days now that I am on Facebook I don't post here anymore. But if in doubt about any photo I ever posted here, simply do an internet search on the name of the plant. That will bring up photos of many other people's shots of the same kind - in this case, African Violet Psychedelic Show - so that you can see the variability of the flowers and compare them to my own photos. Now if I took the shot with my iphone, purple will shift to blue and there isn't a lot I can do to fix it in post production without screwing up the other colors. But if I took the photo with a real camera purple may look purple! So keep that in mind when viewing anyone's photos that the color and contrast, as well as the growing conditions of any given plant, will vary.

Yes, I check about every 2 or 3 months...because it *is* dead.

I did order (from Poland) some strep, mini sinningia, and achimenes (mixed packets) today. Winter gardening blues and would like to add a number of diff varieties to the windows.
