That’s quite a photo of Black Panther, no foliage in sight, how tall are those scapes? Debra, thanks for posting that photo of Boundless Beauty, I see the buds in different stages of opening. The August Frost seedling is lovely, as are all of your seedlings ; ) Sweet Child of Mine, what a great pink!

Sherry - I cropped the photo because there were other blooms and mushies in front of Black Panther. I think the scapes are 44-46 inches tall.

I like your Midnight Castle. Your picture makes it look deep purple. Here I'm pretty sure it would end up dark maroon. Nothing really wrong with that, but the purple is appealing. I do have a question about it though. Is it still blooming from early on or is this newish blooms? I ask that because almost all of the deep south daylilies are listed as "EM" and it seems too late for an EM to still be blooming..............Amazing clump shot of Black Panther..........Maryl

Beautiful pictures! Mister Mayor is one of my favorites here, so pretty and a good plant.

Sweet Child of Mine is striking in that clump, as is Black Panther which looks super tall. The August Frost seedling is pretty. Boundless Beauty always looks good.

Maryl - Midnight Castle is a midseason bloomer. It has a couple of buds left. It is the closer to a true purple than most of my other "purples." This purple seedling out of Skin of My Teeth and Midnight Castle is the truest to crayon purple that I've ever seen.

Good grief! What a beautiful seedling! Oh my, I love that one! The Black Panther Clump is gorgeous, of course, as is Sweet Child of Mine, Mr. Mayor is a winner here and the Midnight Castle bloom is lovely, but that Skin of My Teeth Midnight Castle seeding is the absolute winner as far as I'm concerned.

Kate - Did Sweet Child bloom for you this year? Christmas Snow didn't scape, but it looks reallly healthy.

Laura - Glad to read Mister Mayor is a good plant for you. One of my friends on NBA says its the only Davisson she has that doesn't grow well for her.

Mister Mayor is very pretty. I like the polychromey look of Walk in the Clouds. And my favorite are Boundless Beauty and Midnight Castle. The late white seedling is so pretty, and whoa, Midnight Castle's kid is gorgeous!

Debra, yes, Sweet Child has bloomed very well-just so many blooms all over the garden I could not post them all! I am very pleased with it. I am glad the Christmas Snow plant is healthy but sorry it did not scape- mine was lovely again this year!

Nat - Boundless Beauty is pretty and a good performer. I hear it does well in the north. I got mine from Mantis, and he says it grows well in Ohio.

Kate - I'm glad you got blooms on Sweet Child! Who knows, Christmas Snow may scape very late this year.

Once again some really wonderful blooms here . Love the purple seedling! I love the way the white edge around the center splays out like a quasar burst . Midnight Castle is another rich royal purple on my screen ...

I grow Boundless Beauty here ......it does well . I don't ever recall it taking 3 days to open here? I will definitely pay very close attention to it this year to see if that holds true here.

Heather - Thanks for the comments on the purple seedling. Midnight Castle is very close to true purple here. It's a favorite. I just wish it performed closer to its registration stats. Boundless Beauty has always driven me crazy with those partially open buds. I think we tend to pay more attention to the early ones or new ones when they start to bloom.

Midnight Castle and Boundless Beauty are both amazingly gorgeous! They are all pretty but those are my favs from your photos.
