I've had Rock and Roll for a few years and love this plant. I divided the three I bought when I got them and spread out the divisions. I think I did that again in a few years. Now there are nine separate plants situated close to each other. They look like this.

This has been a slow-growing hosta. The leaves are dense, puckered, and cupped in a slightly unruly fashion. They hold their intense blue all season, and make a stunning blue focal point in my hosta garden.

Here's a close-up of the R&R leaves. They are cupped sometimes up and sometimes down, and sometimes both, always stiff and crinkled.

Last fall I bought a potted Abiqua Drinking Gourd that had a bit of size on it. This season it's coming up looking pretty much like the Rock and Rolls. Does anyone have both of these plants?

How do they differ? Both are blooming right now and the blooms match. But I can see a slight bit of difference in the leaves, less than expected though.

My R&R is more mature than my new ADG, so I'm wondering if once this ADG gets mature if I won't be able to tell the difference between them. Does ADG get more unruly as it matures?

Here's how the ADG leaves look now. They appear pretty big, maybe even bigger than the R&Rs, consistently upwardly cupped, and smooth. I don't think this plant is that old. Will they get more unruly and start to match the R&Rs that way? Will its leaves get even bigger, so they definitely outsize the R&Rs?
