I would paint over garage sides with the same color as body, no diamonds.

Wow that looks great! And very doable! The roof is brand new though (before we bought it) so unfortunately I’m not sure the dark gray will work. It is beautiful though. 😊

That is a VERY cute house. Perhaps you can just remove the tiles and continue the current color in that area. I like the color with the stone and roof.

What is brick and batten? Can you paint the tiles? If not, see if you can replace them with something plain or remove them and stucco the area. I would get a wood Craftsman door. I can see where I would add an arbor or a pergola.

You can still wrap the post in cedar and paint out the odd diamond tiles in the same color as the body of the house. OR, can you remove the tiles and just add regular trim or some more cedar trim? Paint the front door a new color, or get a wooden door and you're done. Tying in the wood elements would bring in the more Craftsman feeling, especially with the stone skirt.

Thank you so much - I love the idea of wrapping the post in cedar and initially painting the front door until we can replace it. The tiles are inset the stucco - I wonder if we can stucco over them before painting them?

I would paint over the tiles in White , then look again ...and perhaps just paint the door ...until you live there ....then plant and paint , add a deck or gazebo to your hearts content ....once you live in a space ...you get a feel for what will make you happy . Such a pretty house. As is , it's nice except for the diamonds ....
