Hello,

I am in the process of refinishing one of our solid wood doors in our house. This door is in the kitchen and leads out to the garage. I sanded the entire door down to raw wood using a mouse sander and by hand. First with 80-grit, then 120-grit, and finally 220-grit. I stained the door using MInwax provincial stain. Most of the door accepted the stain evenly except for the bottom half on both sides. I resanded them using 80-grit and 120-grit and use a pre-stain wood conditioner before staining the wood. The second stain attempt can be seen in the third picture. I have already refinished our wood door that leads out to our deck with no hiccups. Why is the wood not accepting the stain evenly? What are the steps I need to take stain this door? Thank you in advance for your help!
