Cucumber stem problem

Hello,
I had a cucumber that was about 8 ft long and has produced several so far this year. I go out this morning and the stem is chopped in half. Is this something a cutworm did or what happened? The cutworm things I've seen were all seedling type damage. Also is the plant dead or can it still grow at this point?
