My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Did the cooktop installation pass code inspection?

Did the cooktop installation pass code inspection? Where I live in Austin, code requires 9" of countertop on either side of the cooktop.

    It did pass inspection as part of a larger remodel involving the primary contractor. That said, a 36" cooktop on the the end of a 40" island certainly isn't ideal. This layout was the result of numerous compromises due to space and features the homeowner wanted.
