Ask for a fabric sample and bring it home with you before you buy. Descriptions and computer screens can be misleading.

would call it a muted red but do not know if i would tire of it most loveseats come in boring colors and pillows will not do the trick for me

Color names mean absolutely nothing--they are marketing techniques to get you to want to buy whatever they're selling in that color. "Red Linen" is a really strange name, even by color name standards. If you're looking at a loveseat and want red fabric, then look at the actual fabric either in the store or as was suggested, get a sample. But be aware that samples can also be deceiving--they could be from a different dye lot, or they can be old and faded, and not representative of what you'll actually get on your upholstery. The best way to see the actual fabric is to get a sample cutting from "current stock" which means what they are using right now to upholster the piece. What brand are you considering?
