I think you should contact the Bureau of Consumer Protection. Hopefully someone will be available to help you Monday. If you call or email and have to wait for a response, I'd tell the contractor that you contacted the bureau, and want the work suspended until you hear from them.

Of course not! If someone forces their way onto your property or refuses to leave after being told to stay out or get out, then you call the police.

You will need to give him access to gather his tools. You may want this supervised obviously. Either by yourself, friend or a police officer if necessary. Hopefully your have documented, documented and documented some more.

Take pictures, before and after they show up again. Make sure the pictures are clear, from different angles, close up and further away. Tell Consumer Protection what issues you have. Write down everything that pops into your head, no matter how small.

now I need help writing out this termination letter, because if they show up tomorrow at our home I'm going to have to serve them the papers.

I'd still contact Consumer Protection. The contractor might be operating illegally, and they have more authority than BBB. When you tell them you're contacting CP, they might run.

The BBB won't help really. You need to follow all of Mo's and Millworkman's advice, and keep trying to consult an attorney, too.

Also, document your conversations with him. Try to communicate via email or text, where you can preserve the original - or if speaking directly, take notes and try to have a witness if you can (especially important if he is the sort to make threats and lie)
