I need some help deciding what color shingles to do for our home. We are doing an addition with an attached 2 car garage. The garage will have an accent roof that will connect to a small porch. We want to do a metal standing seem roof there. I really want that classic farmhouse look when it is finished. We will be doing natural faux wood garage doors and our house will be white. I currently have samples from certainteed and gaf, as well has color swatches from Harvey for the metal roof. My original thought was Charcoal (certainteed), with the matte black metal roof. Now I'm second guessing myself and worry it won't look right. Will that be too dark? I have googled and googled this but haven't had any luck with specific color recommendations, and it is hard to tell if the shingles and metal roof are black or charcoal online, and even in person. Any guidance and suggestions would be very much appreciated! Thank you! Here is a current picture of my house before our garage was taken down. The new build will have a room above the garage and mudroom. The current main house will stay the same except it will have new siding, new roof and an overall face lift.
