My magnetic stud finder is detecting magnet every 3-5 inches interval vertically from floor to ceiling on my wall. The wall is shared and the duet is build in early 1990s. I thought they are studs, but shouldn't metal studs be attracting the stud finder on the whole length instead of those interval. When I check online about wood stud, there shouldn't be so many nails across the length of the stud. Experts, can you chime in?
