My afghan patterns are not written that way.

I've see the animal patterns written like this (for those small poly-filled animals and characters). There's a term for those which I'm too lazy to look up. And I dislike the way those patterns are written. But I'm "old school." LOL!

Round 4 means *single crochet in the next 3 stitches (NOT three single crochet in one stitch), then 2 single crochet stitches in the next stitch. Repeat from the * until you reach the end of the round.

I would rip out the 50 stitches and then follow the directions from Chris. If you’re crocheting in rounds, it helps to put a stitch marker or small safety pin in the first stitch you do in a row and move it to the first completed stitch on all the following rows. If you get interrupted, you’ll see where the round ends.

If the circle is going to turn into something rounded, being wiggly should be OK.
