A lot of beauties! Woodside Romance is very beautiful, great color and form. Courage to Change is a great color, form and love the eye. The rest are also so very nice. It was hard to narrow it down.

Brad: I remember seeing this on the cover of Apps‘ cover and immediately fell in love with it as I loved the color. It is a nice plant that throws poly blooms.

Beautiful group of daylilies! Forbidden Desire is my favorite of the bunch today. We grow First Crush and I have never noticed it looking crappy by noon. To tell the truth, I don't care for it much and don't usually pay much attention to it. I suggested to Bob that it was time for it to go, but he canceled the idea. That's funny--Bob sticking up for a pink. He is not a fan of pink.

I grow Forbidden Desires too, yours looks like it has a deeper color than mine this season, mine just started blooming. I like Party Pinafore, I’m. Not familiar with it but guessing it’s a small one, I like a few small ones in the garden

I had First Crush at one time, I remember liking it, but when it died I did not replace it. Party Pinafore is lovely, I love mine. I decided spring 2019 to move it close to the back door where I can enjoy it more. Accidentally left a bit in the original spot where it was shaded til earlyafternoon. That one had better color and more buds than the full sun, so I plan to move it back to it's original spot. I think it is supposed to be an early or EM, but more like mid late here for some reason. At least, it always finishes with the ML and lates. Still blooming right now.

Lots of pretty ones, but I really like LIKE A SHEPHERD and RING THE BELLS OF HEAVEN. Of course, being a poly nut I like WOODSIDE ROMANCE very well too.

What can you tell us about the performance of Like a Shepherd? Vigor, scape height, colorfastness. I have wondered about northern performance. Woodside Romance looked good here this year.

I won LIKE A SHEPHERD at the FREE STATE DAYLILY SOCIETY club auciton. I was concerned about this southern bred plant, but it was interesting enough for me to bid on it and win a piece of it. It has come through the winters without skipping a beat. It's performance has improved year after year. It is two inches shorter than the registered scape height of 30 inches. I get 10 buds per scape which is about half of what the registration says of 16-20, What is nice is that the buds do not open all at once. It seems to be relatively colorfast. Mine is in full sun all day long and when I come home at 5 pm it has faded a little but not like some others. I got it as a single fan 4 years ago and it is now 7 fans.
