Replacing a circular saw cord: compatibility issue?

I have a Skil 5600 circular saw that needs a new power cord and strain relief. Installing them appears to be pretty simple. Finding them, not so much.

The saw draws 13 A, and appears to have had a 16/2 power cord. The OEM parts are not to be found. There are lots of 16/2 power cords for sale on Amazon and elsewhere, and some of them say that they are for this or that saw, but I haven't found one that says "for Skill 56-anything." So, will any old 16/2 cord and strain relief fit? Or is there a secret way to figure out whether a given one will fit or not? Or is it just blind luck?

The wire gauge is rated for amps, e.g., 16 g wire is rated for 10 amps.

There is no secret way, the “way” is available on the internet.

Perhaps I didn't explain the question clearly. It's not about gauge (I said that the wire is 16/2), it's about physical compatibility of the cord.

If you know where to find the answer, I hope you'll give a reference. "Available on the internet" is totally uninformative. I believe I outlined what I found, and didn't find, when I looked.

By the way, you're wrong about the capacity of 16 gauge wire. It's 10 A for three-phase power or for runs that exceed 50 feet. For single-phase power under 50 feet it's 13 A -- the exact rating of this tool.
