It 1st opened for curbside pick up and now people can enter as long as they wear masks.

Business must be slow.

I had some books reserved, that I picked up and they're due tomorrow.

Yesterday, I received a text to remind me of the due date.

And just a few minutes ago, I received a phone call.

I'm sure if I check my email, there's an email there too. The email is probably automatic, but the phone call wasn't. LOL

Gotta love a small town library!!

Ours is still open for curbside only, but like yours, ours is a small town library. DH, who is a luddite and so doesnt look on line for the procedure, just called them to ask how to get out a book. And they said you are supposed to reserve it and give us 24 hours to pull and then they said but I'll do it now since you said you are leaving on a camping trip tomorrow. :)

Ours is now open as well but you can't go into the main stacks. If you know the name of the book then the librarians will go and get it for you. They do have a small selection of popular and new releases available that you can look at and take out. Due dates are longer than the normal 3 weeks as well.

We still have no due dates and no fines.

We're still at curbside pick up only for our small town and there is ALWAYS a line! There are 6 designated and numbered spots, each has a sign with the number to call, give your name, last 4 of your card# then a masked employee brings out whatever you've reserved. I'm such a frequent patron that when my favorite librarian answers the phone we always take a moment to chat and catch up. Not that there's anything to catch up because we're not doing anything! I miss those familiar faces but am so grateful they found a way to keep our wonderful library functioning.

We have "library lite". Slightly shorter hours, you can still do curbside (well, dockside -- loading dock, that is) but you can also pick up in the lobby. You can go into the stacks but please don't linger, no tutoring or study tables, and it sounds like the media lab isn't offering in-person assistance. Of course, masks are required!

We eliminated fines last year, and starting with the shutdown all due dates were suspended. But, umm, I think I've taken advantage of that, and really should read the books I checked out and return them!

Our library opened last week limited hours 10-3 monday-friday, masks not required but reccomended, 30 minute limit and 40 people limit. We can still do curbside, reserve books and then they put them on a rack with your name on them outside.

The library here is open for hold and pick up by appointment. The books are bagged and placed on tables outside. I reserved the soonest appointment which was 8 days after receiving the notice that the books are available. The check out begins on the day that I placed the reservation, so the duration of the loan starts then, not at the day of pick up. These new check outs have a due date, but not sure it is binding. The books I checked out prior to closing do not. The books I returned last week are still listed as checked out on my account.I know that the books have to stew. I guess all in good time. I am simply grateful that I can get some new reading.

Wow, pink, that is a lovely library !

I finally returned the items I checked out back in early March, and the movie we picked up “loading dock-side” a week or two ago. The drop off was outside the front doors, two bins and a librarian to help you. I didn’t go inside, but then it was just minutes before closing. Maybe tomorrow.
