HELP Outdoor Out of Square Wall!!!

Our contractor built our back retaining wall for the sunken patio not square by 2” so now the built in benches are not square. We have a gas line run already for what’s to build in firepit. This leaves us with:

Continue to build firepit which will leave a progressively wider opening at one end of the bench & try to distract the eye with other finishing touches
Remove the built in benches and go with free standing furniture that can be set around a built in the firepit.
Any other suggestions!!!

Thank you. Yes drains run to a sump
Pump in the far right corner which then has a check valve to take the water to our retention on the side of the home. The line runs all the way under the 1st picture below.

What does your contractor suggest in regards to his error? Speak to him about fixing the error? Pictures may help you get advice as well.

We decided to just “cheat it a little”. We’ll custom the cushions so it won’t be that noticeable to the eye, I hope!

By the picture, we have no way to observe where a 2" difference might be.

Is there a drain in it? I was thinking of rainy season and standing water. No, really I was thinking of filling it with water and putting floaties in it for summer. But with no drain, in any season it could be a problem.

The not so square thing doesn't bother me. Lack of comfort does. Those seats need colorful cushions. With those, I doubt anyone would notice 2" here or there.

Premier Patio in Gilbert, AZ sells custom cushions at a fraction of others and will make the cushions vi a template so I don’t think it will look that bad after all.
