Too much color?

Wondering if this is too much color for a room off our entryway as well as do I need a coffee table / what else is missing?? Trying to stage our house to sell...

I don't think you need a coffee table, and since it appears (at least in the photo 's lighting) that the footrest doesn't match its easy chair, I'd remove the footrest. Though, with the footrest gone, a coffee table won't seem to take up too much space - both objects together, however, would certainly make the space feel too cramped.

No, I certainly don't think there's too much color. Some buyers like the whitewashed look, but many of the rest of us simply don't.

Yes, lose the footrest and get a coffee table.

Yes to coffee table and plants. Plants will make the room less cold and more homey

Remove the ottoman. Leave everything else as is. You want people to get an impression of space. To answer the first question, it's not too much color.

On my monitor, the wall color looks light gray. Is that correct? If so, I'd paint the room a light cream, then the space would look cozier and more cohesive. The cool gray does work well with the wood floor, the trim, the furniture, the carpet or the wall color in the adjacent room. That is why the room looks off.

You can first try to change your bulbs to a warmer light, that might be enough to pull some warmth out of the wall color.

Not too much color. Coffee table would be ok but if just to sell I don't know if it's necessary. If too cramped with one remove ottoman.
Not sure about having to repaint wall as someone suggested as I prefer that color to the yellowish brown of the other room. Good luck!

Definitely don’t add furniture. Subtract the ottoman. You have some nice windows so I would get one good sized plant (4’) in a nice pot near one set of windows. Done.

I took a second look at the picture. Do you have some larger lamps for each side of the sofa. The ones you have are undersized. Don't go out and buy something new. But, if you have some larger ones elsewhere in the house, try them out.

Thank you so much for all of the suggestions, I appreciate them so much!! I took the ottoman out and you all are right, it looks so much better!! The wall is a light gray (it used to be bright yellow from previous owners) we had leftover paint from our bathroom so figured it was more neutral than yellow and the dining room across the entry way from this room is A medium blue (also from previous owner) so the colors somewhat compliment each other (I think;)) - the table lamps are actually meant for our bedroom nightstands - so I love the idea of getting something taller!! Any suggestions for color / material of lamp and type shade color? Also I love the plant idea, do I get real plants and what kinds? Do I need a planter holder or just do pot in the corner? Thank you all for your help!! This room used to be our playroom / full of toys and so I’m hodge-podging into a staged living room:) also this might be a little much but I ordered a rustic, turquoise coffee table and will see how it looks, worst case we don‘t use it but put it in the new house, I’ll try and attach a pic

Living room, entry and dining room (exact same room across the entry way) so you can see the layout

A real plant - never a fake plant - in a nice pot on the floor. You can get them cheap at Lowe’s or sometimes Walmart. Set near the double windows on the right.
