if custom, what sizes do you recommend? Do you think graduated sizes (small, medium, larger) looks more interesting aesthetically?

These are my concerns: I don't like deep drawers generally because I tend to "junk them up". But our kitchen design involves a full wall of open shelving so it's important for us to be able to "hide" stuff we don't want to look at (blenders, toaster, etc.). I've always had an oven below the cooktop and this is he first time I'll have drawers and I really want the aesthetics to be great and I'm a creative type and don't want overdo the symmetry even though some amount is essential for a good look. I generally want serving dishes and other dishes in the second drawer. Also I'll have 3 wide sets of these drawers (36") and one smaller set (24") so I don't know if every set needs to be the same. One set under the cooktop and the smaller set, at the end of the perimeter by the sink are "stand alone" so maybe they can be a different configuration.

sorry about that attachment! was working from my phone! Here is the correct attachment. Please note that since this rendering was drawn a beam was discovered on the window_wall when the bulkhead was taken out, so that wall will be all open shelves. Also it can't be seen that there is a stack of drawers in the island directly opposite the cooktop and directly opposite the sink.

and! the sink is actually centered under the window :-)
