Help with flooring please

We are remodeling our home DIY and it’s been rough with 4 little ones at home. Hard to shop and do things right now. My husband does most of the looking and said he’s had a hard time finding samples. I love hardwood but for budget and plans to sell home eventually, we decided vinyl plank. The pic shows sterling oak. I don’t want anything too gray. I want a neural color that is classic. I see brownish gray but others say this is gray. This is the first room we started for color. Do you see more gray and any recommendations? Our walls in living area BM white dove.

It’s better to get something you want and wait a little longer then install something you are luke warm about . I’ve made this mistake too many times . You will regret if every time you look at the room .

I really understand the remodel fatigue and wanting to be finished but try to push through it and not say “ pick anything I’m tired !” :-)

On my screen, the floor leans more grey than brown. How does it look to you outside in natural light? Have you looked through Home Depot's selections on their website? In the LifeProof products, there's a Fresh Oak option that looks a bit warmer than Sterling Oak. Don't know if you'd find it too red or busy though. Flooring is tough to choose.

Have you considered Engineered Hardwood? Lowes seems to have more options than HD. Similar price point as your current consideration. Not a flooring expert so don't know if installation entails more effort/cost than vinyl.

That is gray. There are dozens of brown LVP how is it you could not find one? It looks like install is already underway so not sure what you want from us now. IMO best to buy a box and bring it home to see the color in your space I hope you put down subfloor or ripped out the tile before you started the install. I think at this stage you are committed and I see a gray sofa so not totally bad in your space . IMO wall color can be changed but right now it seems fine.

I’m not sure. My husband did most of the looking. He didn’t want dark brown. I wanted a lighter natural oak color. I should have done the shopping and ordered samples online but not about to drag three kids and a newborn to the store. I suppose we can always put that in our master bedroom and do a different color in the rest of house.

Dayna, can you still return the grey floor? If you husband is like mine, how they see "color" is not their best skill - LOL!

Take a look at weshipfloors.com for their Supercore products.

They will send you free samples. I have found their quality to be higher for less $ than any of the big box stores, and even some of the flooring retailers.

Mary- Yes we can. He is not too happy with it either. It is our first time remodeling and we are currently having our bathroom redone so our brains are a little tired from all these choices! I will check out their website! Thank you

Fresh oak was one that we were looking at but think they were out. Seems we may need to order something online and will have to be patient

Thinking of something like this. This is what is interesting. It is called gray but I don't see gray.
