I would go with semi gloss

We did semi-gloss and I absolutely love it, the trim almost looks like it’s glowing from within. We used BM Advance and that stuff can really take a beating.

Thank you! I just told painter to do Advance in semi-gloss for all trim work! I think either would be beautiful but that extra bit of shine in the semi-gloss will make me happier. I appreciate it!

I was a little concerned about semi-gloss being too shiny, but to me it has zero of that reflective glossiness I wanted to avoid, just a bit of extra sheen. And as a toddler/dog household the durability is just fantastic.

Hi we are in this same decision process. Do you like the contrast of the satin for the built ins next to the semi-gloss for trim (I'm pretty sure we want the semi for trim but debating over built-ins). Also I had not thought of using Advance for the trim, just the shelves and built-ins...do you think there is a difference (we were going to use the Regal Select Matte overall, with Aura for some darker accent walls).
