Hi! I'm moving into a gorgeous rental apartment in Bangkok, but the existing furniture is all in very dark browns and chocolates, with grey wallpaper.

I'm stuck with the sofa, and I have two high quality persian rugs for the living room. It's in Bangkok so I was thinking of using chinese vases with fresh flowers, and replacing the hanging pendant lights with some retro incandescents.

Also, I'm thinking of removing the dark wood table (which is ugly) and the brown sideboard. (just too dark)

Questions for the knowledgeable experts here :)

1) I need advice on an accent colour, I was thinking of a bright blue, or pink, or both

2) Would you go with a lighter wood table, or glass topped table?

3) What kind of coffee table would you suggest?

4) Does it need another chair to complement the sofa?

5) I want to get some colour inside through plants. Good idea?

6) I'd like to get some bright pillows for the sofa. Colours?
