leaven them on the plant until they ripen - turn brown. The seeds inside are black and can be planted in the ground. However the new plants won look or perform exactly like the parent.

Growing from seed is fun! As mentioned above the seeds are inside (that capsule will eventually split open and drop the seed). You can start them inside under lights, if you have space/time/inclination. I start just a couple each year. I usually put them in the fridge a couple weeks and start them about January 1st. I plant them out when the weather moderates in the Spring, and they usually bloom the year after. This bloomed for the first time this summer from seed I collected end of 2018. It is exciting to see what comes out as every plant can be different (of course it depends a lot on what parent plants you start with). Have fun!
