I would plant the planters with dwarf and low growing evergreens that frame the entry. Redo the driveway and walk. Have the walk gently curve to the driveway, but much more forward than it is now. Paint the white around the windows to match the trim.

Get a good quality raised panel set the is one half the width of the window and the length of the actual window. But it does look good without it.

Another idea would be take out the side, front beds and steps and put up a sandstone deck at door height. That swings around infront of the house. With a pergola of course.
