This is my first time with this plant. The flowers on my mama Mia giallo pepper plant have been dropping like flies. After the flower blooms, the flower stem would slowly turn yellow until it drops. It’s in a container. About 2 ft tall. I test soil with finger before watering. It gets morning sun until noon. I thought the pollination was the problem. So I‘ve also been hand pollinating the flowers after several flowers dropped. The flowers continue to drop. After checking the flowers that dropped, I do see a tiny fruit in each of them.

What am I doing wrong? What can I do to prevent it to keep happening?
