I have not had any luck in Ohio, my pea vines grow weak and pathetic late in the year. Maybe try a shorter type. Seedlings suffer in August heat, then days get shorter.

Looked at Lowe's and they still had many pea seeds. I planted some Cascadia Snap peas and some Laxton's Progress #9 shelling peas today. I will see if I actually get anything to eat.

I just planted a bed of Green Arrows about a week ago. So far they are popping up nicely, but now I know I will have to keep a close eye on them.

I haven't had much luck with fall green peas. I've tried to grow "Miragreen" ( a variety from Gurneys). they tend to grow very slowly and not very tall and only produce a handful of peas around the end of fall into early winter.

I'm in Oklahoma zone 7a.

Anybody get peas to grow well this Autumn?

My Progress #9 shelling really suffered in the heat and were pathetic, withered away.

My Cascadia Snap peas started better and stronger, but something ate them when they were 6" :(

I tried Gurney's " Miragreen " again this fall in a different location in central Oklahoma zone , 7a and got the best yield I've ever had .;

I guess it's just the luck of the draw.
