You have the makings of a lovely mid century modern home. First...remove your shutters. Then revisit your landscaping. Look up “mid century modern landscaping on Houzz for inspirational photos. Play up the modernity of your home’s lines with ornamental grasses, large planters, etc. Make the sidewalk to the side entry porch wider and more graphic with large cement pads and, perhaps, gravel. Your home is unique. Embrace its design!

I think this is a very attractive MCM house. I agree the shutters should go. A court yard would be nice.

Move the blue spruce out into the yard about ten feet. It will go to 40 feet and even in a decade it will be much too big right next to your house.

I agree with the tree. We are in the process of getting this house, many trees are too close to the home.
