Following. We need a sturdy shower base that can handle 400 pound person. Was warned Dreamline may not hold up, but MTI, Ella, and Onyx Collection would. What have you heard?

I haven’t heard anything about MTI, yet I believe they are definitely more upscale in looks and probably quality.

And yes, onyx collection has a lifetime guarantee and great customer service. I’m one of their few wholesale dealers and I love their products. They can make any shower base and walls. Here is one of my customers finished project.

I’ve seen MTI Designer shower pans and they’re beautiful. They’re much heavier than most acrylic units (a 60 x 30 base weighs 100 lbs vs 50 lbs for Dreamline) with many options for sizes, threshold locations, built-in heater, pre-leveled foam base, etc. More expensive due to better quality.
