Moving hostas from shade to sun

I have a number of “sun tolerant“ hostas that have been planted in all shade all their lives, mostly because I didn’t know they were sun tolerant. Most of them are doing fine. Examples would be, Maui Buttercups, Fire and Ice, Vulcan, Summer Lovin, Stained Glass and more. I am considering moving some of them to make room for hostas that really need shade and to see if some of the ones that have lost size would do better in the sun. Some would be going from some sun to more sun and others would be going from all shade to 4-5 hours of sun. What are my risks, or possible outcomes, besides they will all burn and die?
