My son is doing some move-related redecorating with new bedding and is interested in some linen blend sheets at Target, part of a line they offer in conjunction with Magnolia. This started because he wanted a duvet cover and liked the color of theirs, so thought the sheets in the same line would be the best match.

Friends rave about 100% linen bedsheets, but I wonder about a blend of 55% Linen, 45% Cotton. I've never been impressed with linen blends for clothing, but considerations in bedding aren't quite the same. The thread count for the sheet fabric is 100.

In checking the reviews, there is some division between those who say the sheets softened delightfully after washing and others commenting about the roughness -- like sleeping on a painter's canvas.

Anyway, just wanted to see what input you guys might have!
