I have always loved photos of Frank's Star of Bethlehem, but they all look so good. Most of mine are finished now, Final Reward is just getting started good though. I do have some rebloom scapes coming out though. In the meantime I hope to see the rest of yours!

Been dry here too, got a bit of rain last week. Supposed to have rained just about every day this week. They got 1 1/2" about a mile away. I could count the drops on the sidewalk. Guess I need to get the water hose out.

I've missed your posts too. Glad to see you got around to it now. These are all wonderful. Your Mary's Baby, one of my favorite daylilies, looks absolutely marvelous in your cooler weather. Jay Farquarh looks great for you too. It wasn't a keeper here in my heat unfortunately....I like the oranges, especially Flaming Flamingo; and Jellyroll Morton always catches my eye.....Looking forward to more.............Maryl

I am so sorry about your weather! After tons of rain in the spring I had weeks of no rain. Fortunately it was post daylily season so did not hurt the blooms but your situation has to be discouraging. These you posted are all so lovely! And of course, for you, purple rules! I don’t remember In High Regard. Is it new? I like that look. And what a spectacle The Jury’s Out makes! Just lots to enjoy here.

Kate, In High Regard is not new but did not bloom the first two years I had it so I never could get photos. Now, in year 3 and under a terrible drought no less, it decided to bloom and be astounding. Tall, loaded with blooms with a wax-like substance....and that bright green eye that I love....plus it sets pods easily and it's pollen is super fertile. It is a later blooming one and goes for a long time and has even put up a rebloom scape (which is a rare event for me). It was worth waiting for!

So sorry to hear about your drought conditions and other challenges to your garden this year. The blooms in your photos don't look a bit stressed, and I loved seeing them all. Frank's Star of Bethlehem, In High Regard and Tangerine Tuesday are probably my favorites. The Jury's Out is one heck of a clump.

Ahhh, you've filled up my need for some great purples! Mister Mayor is my very favorite of these. How well budded is it for you? It is just the type I love! It is followed by Swallowtail kite, Frank's Star of Bethlehem & In High Regard. I always enjoy seeing White Eyes Pink Dragon and Orchid Corsage. My OC didn't do well, too short and too pale and few scapes. Shores of Time is really pretty too.
