Not a pro. Based on what I can tell from your picture, you definitely could benefit from some flowering shrubs in the bed immediately in front of your house. Something notably larger than what you have, but nothing that would grow tall enough to obscure any part of your windows.

Sideways photos really don’t help because we can’t get a perspective of where you are standing. Can you back way away from the front door and take a picture of the whole house + a bit of space off to the sides?

With all the low branching trees in the front yard, the view of the house is going to be substantially obscured, which means that street appeal is going to be hard, or impossible to obtain. You can still make the house and foundation planting area look good, but if you're really concerned about the view from the street, I think you're going to have to reconsider those trees. They would have worked if someone had trained their trunks to branch at a higher level. But they didn't and now it seems that doing so would fall somewhere between difficult and impossible.

Paint the brick, extend the porch with a shed style roof, preferably tin. Add plants and cute columns. Get rid of the shutters, paint the trim around the windows to contrast as below, Voila! Cutest house on the block.

When houses have no walk to the front door, they look unfinished. So that's a "must" to accomplish in order to improve street appeal. While the porch could stand to be enlarged, at minimum, the steps should be widened and an even wider landing should be placed at their base. From that, a walk would continue to the destination that makes sense, keeping it at least 6' from the house wall.

Without question, your trees are in need of having some bottom limbs/branches removed. I'd shoot for a clear trunk of at least 10' for now. Letting this go unmaintained for too long only makes the job more difficult. If kept up with, usually, homeowners can easily remove lower limbs themselves. Here, you may need some professional help.

Instead of stripping up and thereby spoiling the two out of scale trees nearest the house cut them down entirely - the house will immediately look bigger and more important.

Can't see how a completely incongruous, utterly utilitarian looking tin roof sticking out from the front of this particular house would be an improvement. In fact in the photo posted here it looks downright ghastly - even on that other house.
