Im house hunting and I looked at a house today thats showing some signs of a problem. Its clearly reflected in the price but the sellers agent is claiming no knowledge of catastrophic damage. There's termite bait traps surrounding the house. Some, but not all, have weeds growing out of them so it looks like they've let the treatments lapse. There's some obvious issues with door and window frames on the outside and what appears to be some bowing on one of the outside walls. Im not an expert and have no experience with actual termite damage. Is anyone out there knowledgeable about this? Could this be some water damage or age or a possible termite infestation. House is an estate sale so its probably just been sitting for awhile. Don't want to waste time and money putting a bid in, getting an accepted offer, having an inspector come to get a verdict. I might buy it for the land but its a different ballgame at that point. Thanks for your help!
