Here's an idea-

Buy 4 large bisque tiles and graph paper, and copy her in quarters onto the graph paper and then onto the bisque tiles and then paint him with underglaze and then glaze and fire, and you have your heat safe cow! You can mount the tiles onto the wall permanently there and not have to worry about it.

There are probably fancier ways to transfer the image, I just do it the old-fashioned way.

I think there are computer apps now for that kind of thing.

And you can get your bisque tiles and underglaze and glaze at the clay painting places which have re-opened now.

If the dimensions aren't exactly 4 times the size of the square bisque tiles from the clay painting place, the copy shop can adjust the size for you.

Maybe the clay place even has a great big one for you, too.

Please no accent tiles behind a stove ever unless you live in Tuscany with a huge Tuscan kitchen I love the cow but not behind the stove and please get rid of the fake greenery. Could you show us the whole kitchen maybe there is a nother spot for him.The best is nothing behind the stove,

If you really love the cow pic, it's fine wherever you want it to be. Maybe move it to another wall in the kitchen, maybe the dining area.

I really like him, but it looks a bit busy with the glass fronts and the items over the cabinets (which seem to fit a different "theme"). It makes sense to find another home.

Not sure why you feel you need anything in that spot, including the current arrangement, as you have plenty else going on and it looks like it is a pretty enough kitchen without adding more. But it is your kitchen so enjoy!

Nice kitchen. I guess I don't understand why you would want so much 'stuff' behind the stove. Keeping it all clean from grease splatter is much more difficult. Your counters on either side of the stove are completely clear...shy not utilize some of that space instead?

So from your photo it appears that you have navy-ish stools and colorful pendants? Since the cow was so colorful, I'm wondering if you may be feeling that your "color" is stuck at the island and is not being carried through the kitchen and something is "missing" and hence the cow. I think that revisiting what you have on top of your cabinets may be your solution to carry more color into the spot and even adding color inside those glass cabinets. If you think this may be the issue, post more photos of your kitchen and we can go from there.

The OP was asking for advice and I think it’s logical to ask her why she would keep anything behind the stove in the first place. To me it doesn’t make any sense, but it’s her house and it makes her happy. 🤷🏻‍♂️

People come here asking for opinions. The OP came here asking for opinions. Posters give their opinions all the time. My opinion is that the items behind the stove are unnecessary for a balanced look and magnets for grease. Only my opinion. I also think her kitchen is lovely, which is also just an opinion. As an artist, I would never place a painting behind a stove. As a cook, I wouldn't want to reach over the stove to access my cutting boards.

well, maybe she doesn't use the stove every day. or maybe she is fine w/removing the items before she cooks.

I have 3 cutting boards behind my stove top and don't move them when I cook. it's easier to wash the cutting boards than it is to wash the wall/tile.

Thanks again for all the advice! I’ve loved hearing all the input! My cow is going to find a different place in the house. I think I will stick with the cutting boards and move them as necessary. Some asked for a pictures of the entire kitchen. Here it is! We renovated recently and I’m very happy. Thanks again everyone 😊
