About 8 weeks from forming you can collect or when it is dry seedpod. Store in dry area, plant whenever if indoor you will need light set up. Soiless mix wet leave seeds on top. Cover with plastic till germinate. Easy peasy.

Linda, are you saying you use wet leaves only, place seeds on top & cover with plastic? You use an indoor light source too. But that’s it? Seems so simple. I don’t have any fertile streakers or maybe I would give it a try........ :-(

i believe she means moist media with seeds just on top ... as long as cover doesnt touch them and pull them away.. i suppose ...

If it helps, I use these little organza bags from the dollar store and place them over the flower spike heads to capture the seeds before they fall to the ground. It allows them to mature and dry on the spike but collect in the bag.
