We are remodeling our kitchen. It measures 11.5 by 25. It is planning to be a U shape however because of the 11.5 width I'm afraid that even putting a thin island (not stationary )for "looks," and small storage won't fit right. I like the look of white cabinets with a wood island to break it up but my kitchen width is proving it might not work I think. Any suggestions on other layouts? Or any thoughts on the island ideas. We are also adding a wall oven and pantry so I need to wall space to put those.
