I recently purchased a house in South East Pennsylvania. One of my favorite parts of the property is the detached garage. There is plenty of street parking available so I do not plan on using it for my car at all. The previous owners clearly used it as an entertainment area. They had a TV mounted on the wall with some nice lighting and there is even a window that swings out creating a bar area for the patio outside. I plan on using it in a similar way.

My question is about how to better insulate it, or even if I should insulate it. We have had some 90 degree days here recently and the internal temp got up into the 80s. I'm not to concerned over the summer time as it typically isn't that hot for extended periods of time and a few fans would make it tolerable. The cold is a bigger problem. I don't need the place to be nice and cozy year round, but I'd like to be able to get in the 60s with the help of a small heater.

The walls are concrete blocks and the ceiling is wood with a black rubber roof above. There are 2 large carriage doors with single pane glass windows. I love the look as is, and would hate to cover up the whole place with insulation. Would insulating just the ceiling or the ceiling and the walls make a significant difference? Or are the doors and single pane windows just going to negate all the effects if the added insulation?
