I purchased a new-to-me house, about 10 years old. Have been working on a bunch of stuff, but here is one of the funny things we've found. The hood and range don't line up! See attached.

Thinking of removing the small cabinet to the right, shifting the upper cabinet over 3" to be aligned properly, and then making a slide out spice/storage rack on the right side.

On the left side, I was thinking of moving the large and over-fridge cabinets to the left to line up properly with the fridge opening, and doing the same.

At the same time I'm going to move the over-range cabinets up and install an over-range microwave/vent. There will be trim added above the cabinets, so it will be a raised section.

Does this sound like a good plan!?
