Mine all start shutting down before cold weather gets here but then I am not in southern Florida or California (Atlanta area with our first frost around Halloween). I put my pots up on the top shelves of my light stands and don't water at all. About early March I will see if any have started to sprout and take them all down if they have. I don't give them a lot of water to begin with - don't want to rot them.

April 17 with lots of them sprouting but slow this year. The pot with all the brown stems is Globba and I treat it the same along with Curcuma and Chrysothemis pulchella.

Planted 36 bulbs in the ground took a lot longer to come up. A pot might've done a lot better.

Thanks! I will leave half of my bulbs planted in soil while half will be pulled out. This is the first time I’m caring for these buggers.

Yes. i know they won’t survive MA winters. by planted In soil I mean they will remain in potted soil And moved to the basement.

Ah, good to hear then. I dug mine out of the ground after a few big frosts in 2007 and they had all been mashed potatoes. Sensitive things, but then I would be too.
