I love my glass and steel railings , we have wood deck and I am not a lover of composite decking , yeah the wood takes some care but I still like it better. Have you checked out IPE for the deck I would have gone that route but we hace 2300 sq ft of deck and would have been bank breaking. The IPE works nicelt becuase it is real wood, you can either let it weather to gray or oil it to keep the wood color.

Thought to check with experts here as this is my first house and carrying little to no knowledge about this deck choice.

These upgrades are all aesthetics. How much time do you spend on your deck? How long are you staying, is this a forever home? Decks treated and cared for with out all the extras can still be just as nice. The upgrades sound beautiful so it just depends on what you would like to look at and the time spent in the space you are putting the money into.
