We are busting out the ugly brown tile and are having Brazilian Cherry laced in with existing Cherry. We will have everything sanded and put a satin or matte finish coating. I am reading and it sounds like people find a matte finish harder to keep clean looking? Has anyone experienced this with a matte finish? We find our existing finish (which I think is higher gloss) gets superficial scratches that look white.
