need help! Something off with bathroom colors

Hello, in the process of bathroom remodel still need mirror, lights, wall paint (oxford white ben moore). Would appreciate some help:

  1. Do you all think i need to paint the vanity a different color?

  2. Fixtures in the shower will be black, would you add gold faucets/knobs/mirror in an effort to balance the warmth of the space mixing gold in?

Thank you

IMO all fixtures should match. Either paint the vanity or choose a different wall color.

what is the color of the vanity? is it off white? white? grey?

I would paint the walls the same grey you have on the floor (some little pieces look grey) and I would warm the bathroom up with brass light fixtures and brass frame mirror

I like the black. you could do gold knobs if you like. and they make lights w/black/gold, so it's a good way to combine the two.

to me the vanity seems like a creamier white

I think you could paint it black, navy, green, aqua, or a brighter white

for example, I used black in my bathroom and also have the carrara marble.

and I've mixed the metals in my lighting and mirror.

Normally I'd say use the same color for all of the faucets, but on the hardware and lighting, you can mix it up

You could do a black or gold mirror, and gold sconces, if you like

    see what they did here?

Or do a gold mirror and black lights

I used Gray Cloud on my walls. It's cooler gray that will work w/the marble tones

If you want to paint the vanity, these would work.

A soft blue, like that Smoke color, would look like this on the vanity. looks good w/black/gold.

Or, if you paint it white, you could pick one of those 4 blue colors for the wall. they would all look great w/your design.

do you plan on doing any tile on the wall behind the vanity? I think it would be a nice addition.

this is a dark blue gray vanity, which looks nice w/gold, and your black. they did a nice tile design on the wall that works well w/the marble floor

I like white for the walls and vanity or you could do white for the vanity and a very light blue for the walls. A friend has that with light blue towels and some large pieces of coral and large sea shells for decoration and it looks great.

You could mix black and gold or black and brass, that's ok.

For mirror lighting, sconces on the sides of the mirror are better than overhead lighting, less unattractive shadows that make it heard to see what you are doing when you shave and make it difficult to apply cosmetics accurately.

Thank you all for the insightful replies. The vanity is def creamy off white. The floor is soft white with gray.

I am planning on this wall color (see pic). Sounds like will need to paint vanity. Bright white vs gray (example pic)?

I would probably go with grey if everything else is brighter.

In retrospect, i should not gone with black fixtures or black niche outline. The design in the pick here is beautiful: sea salt wall paint, white subway tile, marble hex floor, coventry gray vanity, chrome fixtures.

I would go with Benjamin Moore 1618 on the walls it is perfect with Carrara. see picture you could go with Westcott navy for the vanity see below. Warm colors don't work with Carrara marble. Satin brass would work as well as Polished Nickel

    Vanity also goes with Carrara

I do I think you will be happier long term with something in brass or the nickel it add a little shine and is more timeless.

The bathroom above with the double vanities was done in 2005.

Great point sabrina! Again, foolishly, i committed myself to some black by framing niche in black. My biggest issue with darker walls or vanity - is the room is quite small and has zero natural lighting.

Just seems like you mixed warm and cool whites. Better to go cool with gray in tile rather than the gold that sometimes lives in some marbles. Stick with the cool grays and whites.
