Could you please post a to scale floor plan and a lot more info as to budget and what you want to get from renovating. Also are you cahnging the cabinets and what is your style.

You cannot fit an island into a kitchen the width of yours. If you try to do it with cabinets on both sides of the kitchen, the island and both aisles will be annoyingly narrow. You might be able to do an island if you gave up cabinets on one side of the kitchen. You won't be able to have seating at the island, and even then you won't have generously wide aisle and island.

You could increase the cabinet depth on one or both sides of the kitchen to 30" to close up the distance between the range and sink.

How much are you willing to change?

I want to keep the water (sink dishwasher ) on the same side. But I am flexible. Thought about moving the refrigerator. Also get rid of the peninsula. Plus I don’t want to be surrounded by upper cabinets.
