When ‘someone’ drew my new home exterior elevations they had the top of the transom window the same height as the top of the front door. My builder says that’s not the correct placement and he wants the top of the window to match the top of the front door, with the transom window above that.
With 10 foot ceilings, I chose an 8’ front door. The dining room and office are on opposite sides of the door. Those windows were 5.5’ tall with an 18” transom. But that 18” transom is now really getting close to the ceiling!
Suggestions please! Sorry I don’t have any pictures.
