The light from solar tubes is ‘fluorescent light ish’ because it is cooler than an Incandescent light bulb (because it’s daylight) and it’s oddly non directional due to the mirrored lining in the tube. These are both traits shared by fluorescents. Most people are bothered by the flicker that they see in fluorescents, you won’t have that with a solar tube.

IMO Solar Tubes are very successful when used to like a small area like a bathroom, closet or hall.

They are not successful when used in large areas.

I agree that the light is different because it is daylight change all your bulbs to LEDs 4000K then the light from the light from the tubes will feel right. BTW I can’t be around flourecsent lighting either but all my lighting is 4000K LED
